114060 v. 116613 What Do You Think?
Hi All. I have a pristine Sub ND, Z series but at 6'2", 230, I'm now drawn to the slightly larger size of the Ceramics. Not a fan of the 116610 but the two tone black grabs me due to its dressier look for those formal occasions, AND, of course the new 114060 is gorgeous and would be truly perfect if it were a two-liner in Red. In any event, I don't want to buy two new watches. Anyone out there pick between the two? Would a NEW 114060 AND A used two-tone Yachtmaster down the road be a better choice? I likely will keep the 14060 in a drawer for 40 years and take it out when I'm 90 years old and my skinny wrists look like a pencil :) Thanks. Pictures welcomed.

I like the idea of 114060 + used two tone YM (or did you consider an older TT Sub?)

I like the 114060 as well, but why are you deducting the 116610 since it's the same specs as the 114060 + a date? Besides, you already have the 14060.

I agree...it seems strange to love the 114060 and not like the 116610, especially when they are identical (with the exception of the date).

I think the absence of the cyclops, and the date window, results in a much more balanced dial, and does make for a significantly different watch.

DO NOT like the new case but 110% 114060 over the 116610...no doubt.

114060 is the way to go.im also 6'2 and 260 and the 114060 suits me better size wise than the 14060 but I love the 14060 as well.

I'm so 50/50 between the ND Sub and Sub date....One day I love one and the next I love the other...
A few of my issues with each....The Sub Date gives you the Date everyday (Great for me), but I notice a little build up around the Cyclops on all my date watches, which really bothers me. Plus, the cyclops can really crowd the dial much more than without it.... The ND sub is awesome in that it is soooo balanced and symmetrical, but there ARE times when I go looking for the date and come up empty with date-less watches...Sure, I could grab my phone, but it's habit to look @ my watch. I LOVE them both, but I will have to make this decision soon. THOUGH, I WILL automatically take a TT Sub over the 116610 and the 114060, any.day.

THe TT Blue dial just does not look like a diver's watch. It is too blingy. I bought a 16613 Bluedial but later sold it. It did not look like a serious dive watch --- just looked like a blingy watch. THe 14060m on the other hand looks like aduve watch ....andso does the 114060 ...

116613LB is in a class of it's own. Very flashy though.
