Icon5 Is Rolex considered a cool brand in the UK?

Apparently so, according to a recent poll conducted by UK based Superbrands. But we already knew that!

Here's the list of the Top 20 "Cool Brands"

Pah... where is Porsche in that list?!

Yes Rolex is definitely a cool brand but often viewed as something unobtainable by those not willing to put the effort into acheiving getting one.

Lots of people I deal with in the finance sector have a Rolex, either Submariner or Daytona. There are also lots of Omega, Breitling, Tag and a few Panerai.

Yes indeed 996. Porsche and Rolex Sports watches..especially the Submariner have quite a few things in common:
Basic design unchanged but improved upon over the last 50 years.
Engineered to a very high standard
Bullet proof engine...bullet proof movement.
Bloody expensive but worth it!

Cheers
Steve

Wilsdorf & Davis was founded in London, and in the beginning W & D supplied watches to the UK only.

That company later got the name ROLEX.

So in a way, Rolex was born in the UK, so it is only natural that it would be popular there.

Rolex is very popular here in the UK. You only have to stand outside an AD for a minute or two to see people gazing at the window display. I like to listen to the comments that people make about the brand.
Many of those that are looking have clearly never tried one on.....but they all aspire to own one.
