Root Beer bezel for Submariner
Is it possible to get the GMT root beer type bezel for a 16613? Any ideas? Thanks.. Is there an aftermarket bezel out there?

Rolex didn't intentionally make any. But some Sub bezel inserts have faded into a "tropic brown" due to oxidized paint.
The aftermarket tends to mimic genuine Sub colors like blue, green, etc - but a check of eBay may get you what seek.

Odd question
The sapphire crystal GMT bezel inserts (which I assume you really mean) are the same size as the sapphire Sub inserts, so you could fit one if you wanted.. It would be pretty useless though.. If you mean a brown Sub insert, the aftermarket probably has every color in the rainbow..

That's not a Sub, it's a GMT Master. The bezel will be useless for a Submariner

obviously. I'm looking for the root beer bezel for my Sub. Are they interchangeable? the second pic is of a Slate Serti dial on a GMT. My sub has the same dial. Why is it useless? Will it not turn? thanks

Well first the sub bezel in bi-directional while the root beer insert is meant to be used on GMT watches with a uni-directional bezel and is calibrated to use with the 24 hr hand.Although the root beer insert would fit a sub it would be almost functional useless except for a different look.

It's useless because the insert (they interchange, you do not need the entire bezel) on the GMT is calibrated to use with the 24 hr hand, which a Sub does not have.

I figured it was easier to swap the entire bezel instead of the swapping the bezel inserts. going to look awesome!

I think it will look good but I am the type that likes to keep my watches original and the way they come from the factory. Ultimately though, it is your watch so do what makes YOU happy. Good luck
