i do have a question: when winding, the feel is a bit stiff compared to my 2010 sub. in fact, it feels exactly like my father in law's GMT (recently serviced by bob ridley). is this normal for an older rolex calibre or is it an indication of a problem? actually, my '66 seamaster - also recently serviced - feels a bit like this, only stiffer.

by the way, i must say that the jubilee bracelet is more comfortable than the oyster on my sub. i could get used to this...

Nice Patrick! I talked to the owner of that nice 1601 and seriously considered it - its a nice one and its prior owner was an honest forum member - who I would have bought from.
Enjoy!

+1, you can't go wrong with that wide boy dial. I was very tempted...

Is that a super jubilee bracelet? It looks so much sturdier than mine!

Wide boy dial, mmm

As for the stiffness, yeah they can feel that way. A Rolex feels very unique in the way it winds in my opinion.

Dumb question: what's a "wide-boy" dial?
