Opinions on this 1680 White Please
Good afternoon,
I once again have to disturb the resident experts, asking them to share their wisdom on the enclosed 1680 white. A 5.2 million, it seems. Crown guards / case seem over polished to me, I'm not sure the insert is the correct one (should be fat font?), etc, but I'd sincerely appreciate overall comments, as always. Thanks a million for help. |

looks like you're right re the CGs and the insert. One pic is not much to go on. Depends on the price, and what you want!

The crown guards, especially the bottom one, appear over polished. I would not say the case lugs are over polished and look quite full.

Here is a picture of my all original never polished 1680 of similar age. Comparing it to the watch in your picture the lugs looks ok but the crown guards are over polished and the insert seems to be replaced:

What he said. The price you would need to sell one day would be low as well if you wanted to flip it.

I agree. There are so many great examples out there of this watch that can be found at a good price. I would wait for the perfect example.
