Help With AD List For Daytona In UK!
Hi,
Does anyone know of any Ad's in the Uk taking names for SS daytona black dial. I've rang round a few with no luck. I'm desperate to get on a list, so i might have a chance of owning one before I'm 40 or it would make a great 40th birthday present. Any help would be very much appreciated. Toby Merry Christmas! |

Well, I have visited London 30 times+, and it is a GREAT city for Rolex people.
Regent Street is full of AD's. New and Old Bond Street, too. In Old Bond Street you find the Rolex Botique (Rolex ONLY!), and also "Watches of Switzerland". There are also some pre-owned Rolex dealers in New Bond Street. David Duggan is one of them and always has an AMAZING stock! But I have heard that he has moved to the Burlington Arcade. In the Gray's Antique Centre (near Bond Street Tube Station, just off Oxford Street) you will find "Second Time 'Round", but to be honest I don't recommend buying from those guys, but if you just like to "browse", no problem. Good luck!

Are you looking for retail price? You will wait a while, I bought a few WG daytonas from an AD and was offered one,I turned it down. In hind site I went back to th Ad have one on order and it will arrive within 8 months. If you want it you can have it when it turns up, as I am not that fussed.

You will have more of a chance of getting on a list if you go to the dealer in person and chat with the manager. Most dealers get daily telephone calls about the list but perhaps once a month for a personal visit to ask the same question. If you are 38 you will be sure to have one before you are 40. If you are over 39 then you will either have to be lucky, get on a lot of lists or pay the £1500 premium over MRSP for one on the secondary market. Happy hunting.

I phoned a load in the summer and got on 2 lists in the end.
having said that, realistically will I EVER get the call from either ? I doubt it. I have no relationship with either and I thin kthey said they'd put me on the list just to get rid of me !!!
