The most resistant Rolex movement...

Dear friends,

As far as shock resistance, magnetic resistance, thermal resistance are concerned, could you be so kind as to let me know which is the most resistant Rolex movement (and the watches in which it can be found) ?

As a bonus, here is a picture of my latest (non-Rolex) watch. Real watch lovers will appreciate :-) !

Aurel.

Here is a link to knox everything about my Dufour Simplicity watch delivery :

Enjoy !

A member here has described the Sub OP (ref. 14060) movt. (Cal. 3130) as being the "most rugged".

In terms of magnetic and temperature influence, though, the Milgauss, new Daytonas, new GMT IIc's and YM II would be the winners due their Parachrom Bleu hairspring which is virtually impervious to such influence.

Thanks a lot.

Are the movements within datejusts/day-dates less rugged ?

Best regards

The movement inside the DJ is the same as in the Sub Date, SD and YM (Cal. 3135).

The DD uses the Cal. 3155 movt.

Basically, ALL Rolex movts. are rugged, but the less "complications" the better. So at least in theory the Cal. 3130 movts. used in the Sub OP, Explorer and AK (but also the Cal. 3131 Milgauss for that matter) are more "rugged".

Thank you for the great pictures and links - if there is a "grail watch", you are wearing it.

Aurel that Dufour is beautiful. Congrats on that purchase. I would agree with Bo on this matter.

Aurel.

Well, as for a current model Rolex, I would have to go with the Milgauss, but if you are talking vintage, then including accuracy the OysterQuartz will satisfy all the above.

I know that they are not very popular, but hey, can win them all.
