Clipsal 500
Went to watch the first Race today with a mate and hoped that Nissan or Mercedes would give Holden and Ford a run for their monney but they had no chance.
When I saw them bump starting a Merc on the starting line and just knew it was going downhill from there. Gave up the watching the racing half way through the 78 laps, bought a few things, had a look at the car displays and had a quiet drink.

Apparently the Mercedes driver was forced to pit and get his shoes covered in fire retardent material because there was some hot part in the footwell that was toasting his foot
http://www.news.com.au/sport/motor-s...-1226589126250 Not a good showing from Mercedes....but I guess it is only their first race
