What do you expect in a Rolex forum?
Ask in the Pam forum for a different answer. |

Have to agree and if the OP needs to ask the forum what watch to buy whats wrong with making his own decisions on what watch to buy .Myself would choose the watch I wanted that's the only person that counts when I buy any watch any brand but would choose the Rolex..

I choose Rolex.
Not because this is a Rolex forum, I simply do not understand the appeal Panerai, I do not like their looks or their size.

I see you have a Daytona and Hulk it appears. Where do you want to take your collection is the real question?
Both are excellent watches and both will hold their value well, with a slight advantage to Rolex.

Between the two you mention, the Sub all day. I am not a fan of any Rads from Panerai. Now I have owned a 177 and a 24 Panerai and LOVED them. But I get bored and love the chase of this hobby more than anything I think:)
Not to flame, and I "sort of" understand the this-or-that question, but really why does it matter what others think? I wear the watches I love, and if someone appreciates what I have on my wrist, then that's cool. If not, who really gives a toot?!?! Choose the one that sings to you bud. |

Depends on your collection focus. Do you want all Rolex, or do you want to add multiple brand in your collection? From what I remember, you have many Rolex's. If you want to expand your collection outside Rolex, PAM is a good start.

Sun nd, much better movement compared to 292. If you must own a pam, go with pre owned in house such as 312, 359, etc

I really want to like Panerai...but they just end up looking goofy on my wrist. I think 42mm is about the largest watch I can wear without it looking like a cartoon.
