That might be for a new replacement. Looks like the dial has been changed, thinning lugs,
Maybe $3000-$3500 watch?

Well, technically that 16013 is no longer made... If "Rolex" gave you that number, Im assuming that youre having them service it???... For a lost, destroyed, or stolen value they use the MSRP on the current production model that is equal or similar to your 16013. So, lets just say; you sent it to RSC and some how it got totally destroyed in their possession, then they would pay you the current replacement vaule of a NIB TT DJ, since your vintage 16013 is no longer made.

RSC did the same on my 16800 sub. I bought it for 2k as a project fixer upper and when I left it with them the invoice for a replacement value was the MSRP of a NIB 16610 at the time.

Rolex will always give you the MSRP for a replacement. They are very protective of the value of their product, thats why techinally there are not suppose to be any discounts at AD's for any Rolex products. Because discounting is devaluing the product, thats why Rolex always has a higher resale value, because the company has always been very protective and strict on MSRP with their AD. Its really hard to become a Rolex AD from what Ive heard. They just dont hand them out to jewelry stores, so to insure the value on the market, smart company. .

In the market it would prolly fetch $2500ish without box and papers. The dial was replaced sometime after 1998 when Tritium was eliminated. Dates are nice watches, but their values has reduced due to today's desire for ever larger case sizes.

Box and papers I think you could get $3k from the right buyer.

It's a Rolex Datejust 16233 (the late 80's or early 90's). Great condition + box and papers will make difference on the price.

First Datejust I've seen that says date?

Like others have already said, it's a 34mm Date and the value is $2,000 - 2,500.
