Unknown numbers
I have a Tudor Prince Oysterdate Rotor Self Winding watch with a Champion stainless steel band. The back of the watch says Original Oyster Case by Rolex Geneva with the Rolex crown at the end. The numbers from the 12 o'clock end are 7970/0 and from the 6 o'clock end are 626865 with Stainless Steel above it.
I have had this watch since the early 80s and was given to me as a gift. When I visited the Rolex store here in Salt Lake City, Utah, they told me an extra link would be about $500.00 and a cleaning about the same. However, I am unable to find any information on the above numbers and was wondering if anyone could help me? Peter Klein Ogden, Utah [email protected] |

Welcome to the Forum. Your question will be hard to answer without validating it first. I'm surprised the AD did not open in up to be sure they could work on it. IIRC from an old thread here, the movement inside would be an ETA 2484.
Hard to say this and not trying to scare you, but that model of Tudor is one of the most copied watches by counterfeiters. So the best thing is to have it opened to get a fixed price quote to overhaul it. That will need doing anyway,
