I got that warm loving feeling over my SD
Why doe's a watch have so much affect on me or you for that matter. I had a wonderful meal today at a beautiful location with my family. (http://members.aol.com/huntsmanht/) anyway, I glanced several times at my wrist and had a really warm feeling come over me. The watch seems to be polished in just the right places, coz the lights made it gleam like a christmas tree bauble. When I went to the WC, the spot lights over the Wash basins are halogen and I have been caught many a time looking at my watch as the light catches it in the mirrors. (By the way i will deny all this if it come's to trial)
Its seems daft and if i said this to any of my family, I think I would be commited, but it doe's make me feel special. Another point someone who we started to converse with asked me about my watch, then started to say "thats really nice, Rolex, can I ask about how much these days 5 to 7k (pounds) He seemed genuinely surprised when I gave him the RRP. He wasen't a WIS in particular just had heard of the brand etc. People have some interesting perceptions about our brand.

And reading this post made me glance down at my wrist, and yes, a smile came to my face. You are not alone, there is something special about a SD.

There's something special about that meaty SD! I must say though, my girlfriend has been laughing at me as each time I glance down to my new SS Sub Date w/ CRB - I make a little growl / hmmmf noise.
I'm thinking of getting help - Just kidding... Enjoy that SD my friend! |

Not for nothing, but you might want to rethink the title of your thread next time. All I could think about was...well, let's just say you were "winding it".

Sometimes, I think I look at my watches much more often just to appreciate they beauty or visual attributes than to actually tell the time and yes (I will deny that if anyone asks)

I agree it is the toughest Rolex made! Bo my good friend off with you to the ADs. Buy a SD ASAP and never flip it again. It calls to you Bo take me home Bo I am for you.
Man I want the Red SD to come back SOOOOOO badly! I wish Rolex would re-issue this watch at the B. Show in April 2008. Could you see a Red SD with a Maxi dial? It would make the GMT IIC and Milgauss sales look like nothing. I have 3 friends along with me who would camp out at the ADs front door to be one of the first to place an order. What do all of you think about a re-issue? Is it just me or would you guys/gals run to buy one as well? |

Maybe as an anniversary model, strictly limited. Not like the LV.

My wife catches me looking at my Rolex so often she facetiously asks "You got a date?"...And as far as "that warm feeling you got on your watch"...Not gonna touch that line...

I'm torn ladies and gentlemen,
I'm eager to add a SD to my modest collection, but I've fallen in love with some of the features of the new GMT llc. Is there any feeling out there as to when the parachron blue spring, new clasp and bracelet might appear on the SD? Tempus Fugit, Trainer |
