DD plat v WG Sub.
Completely different I know but after my GMT2C this forum has given me the bug.
I am not in a position yet to get either but out of all the choices available these two are my favourite & the ones I plan to save for. I couldn't afford both so just asking for opinions which you would go for ?. If the owners don't mind, I have taken these pics from a WRUW thread. V Just humour me & it gives me a chance to see their beauty again ;)

I already have a black sub, so for variety, I'd choose the....... WG Sub!

With one tool watch in the bag already, I'd say the DD. I predict the next Rolex won't be your last one, so the Sub can be added later...

WG Sub.
If it were up against the DDII, then it would be a closer contest for me. |

My first choice would be the wg sub. It's a great looking watch. In addition, if and when the time comes to add the DD, I wouldn't do the platinum DD, but rather the wg. If I were going to spend that kind of $'s on a dress watch, it would be on a Patek or Lange rather than spending the additional coin on platinum Rolex. Good luck on your hunt. |

Well, you can't go wrong either way. Only marginal differences I can think of is that the Sub might look a bit out of place with a proper suit while DD might look bit out of place in a sporty setting, but either watch can still pull off the job. But, seriously, either way you can't go wrong!

Ł24,700 for the WG Sub & I think from memory Ł38,000 for the DD. I'm off to empty my piggy bank....

Platinum DDII for me...I prefer the 41mm and love the look of the concentric blue dial.
