"hecho en Mexico" Did rolex ever make Rolex's in Mexico?
I was walking around the mall and came across an independent jeweler that sells mostly diamonds and gold jewelery. But he also had some watches in a display case. I noticed a T/T Datejust that looked pretty beat up. I asked to see a few of his used Rolex watches and saw "hecho en Mexico" stamped on the inside of the clasp? Did Rolex ever make parts or assemble them in Mexico?
What do you guys think? He swore that is was real but I think that it is a fugazi!

Yes they did. Bracelets were made in several countries at one time. Mexico and the USA were two.
