Identify if this Rolex president is real or fake please

Hi Folks,

Thanks to the members who helped me to strike my first Rolex 18k President with bark finish bracelet couple of months back. I'm now back to the market to get my 2nd Rolex president without the bark finish on the bracelet.

I have managed to shortlist one of the Rolex president from the market and took some photos and gather few information. I need your help to see if this watch looks real or fake.

Also tell me if this watch is rare find? I asked this question for the reason when I search in google with the term "Rolex 180381" I get very few results and also in this forum also not much of discussion on this model number.

Watch model: Rolex day-date
Design as written between the lugs: ORIG ROLEX DESIGN 180381

Serial number: 9442xxx

I checked the serial number reference and found this watch is from 1986 and as per the model reference this watch is powered by 27 jeweled automatic Rolex Cal.3055 movement. But I couldn't get any picture of the movement hence the only thing I can ask you all if this looks original ?

Please check out the pictures below that was taken by my friend:

Hi everything looks pretty good to me. However the case back middle part should be brushed instead of full polished like that.

Also the date and day wheel, is IMHO too white, a serviced day/date wheel perhaps? The day/date wheel should be silver-ish/champagne in colour I think.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Could you get a picture of the crown position, usually a giveaway. The knock offs are always too low in the case

Any reason why you don't seek out reputable sellers so you don't have to do some much investigation? Makes for a much more pleasurable buying experience...and you are likely to find what you're looking for in much better condition.

My thoughts exactly. If you need a bunch of strangers on the internet to validate a purchase, you don't trust the seller.

Check the bracelet and Au marks with someone who knows... Maybe is the light but it looks weird to me... And the piece that joins the clasp...I will have to look at mine, it looks a little strange..

Guys,

Sorry for the late response. I found this watch in one of the remote village watch shop in India and finally I got that watch for my friend after got it authenticated by AD.

Yes, the watch is original and since it was old watch multiple times it went through polishing hence the shiny back cover.

The AD didn't any wrong on rest of the watch and the watch came with a pretty decent deal.

Thanks for all your comments.
