Blue Sub / Black Bezel

I've been looking at the blue sub, but I think the blue bezel looks kinda cheezy. I was wondering if anyone's put a regular black bezel on it just to see how it looks. Would especially appreciate pictures. xD

Why not just go for a TT with black bezel/dial?

Because I like the blue dial, but the blue bezel seems to be too much...

The best part about the blue is that it is so rich that it will look completely different depending on how the light hits it.
It can be a bright royal blue, but in some lights it will actually look black.
It is quite a chamelion. But it's always gorgeous.
I would not put a black bezel insert...no way...
But it's your watch

Got to agree with the others. I couldn't see a blue dial with a black bezel or vise versa. I have had both TT and loved them with their respective bezel's. The blue dial is gorgeous and I would bet if you chose the blue TT, you would love the bezel as well. Give it a try and good luck.

It a matter of personal preference and taste, but IMHO the two colours would clash. It would not look cool, at all.

Maybe someone here could make a Photoshop experiment showing how that modification would look like?

Jocke??

Bluesy is fine the way it is and has a huge fan base to prove it. How about 10,000 sheep for starters. 10,000 sheep can't be wrong!!!!!

I would never make that modification personally, but I know how it feels to have a colour preference that the majority don't seem to care for.

In the end, it would be tricky getting the bezel insert, then finding a competent jeweller to do the swap, since a Rolex AD won't do it.

The colour contrast would be too much in my opinion. This may be a case where Jocke does a Photoshop proof of the black bezel insert with blue dial, and you can see what the result () would be.

Don't even think about it. There will be karmic hell to pay if you try to fix something that's not broken!

I like both, but Bluesy is my favorite by a long shot. Wouldn't change a thing!

Superdoc, thanks for doing the photoshop.

I'd probly use the TT/gold bezel instead of the SS one, but I think that looks really good.

I'm sure I could figure out how to get a bezel, and from the instructions I've seen, it's pretty easy to swap one out yourself.

Not a fan of the T/T Blues, though I wish Rolex made a S/S only Blue Boy..... Man that would be sweet. I'd be all over that like white on rice!

Wonder if I could get a Sub, and swap the dial and bezel out.....?

actually they did make a blue ss but it was only sold in asia, japan i believe. it had the volcano markers also if i am not mistaken.

i wouldn't want to change the tt blue sub but i do wish they would offer the black sub with the fat minute hand, a maxi dial and a black bezel. basically a lv with a black bezel insert. i would buy one in a minute.

Agreed, it isn't all that bad. But not for my tastes. If you're gonna go blue, go all the way. Otherwise you're just black and blue...
