Roman Numerals

This has probably been addressed before but I cant find it, so apologies if it's a repost and if it has been discussed.

I was just looking at the date just 116234 with roman numerals and noticed that 4 mark, is transcribed as IIII instad of IV.

Does any one know why that is? Just curious.

I am somewhat new to the brand and own only Rolex sport watches.

IIII has been used in watchmaking for years. I guess it's tradition at this point. FYI, it's still correct to use IIII as an alternative to IV.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

I my best mood I'm very helpful, it's not so often so just enjoy.

I'm 14K+ now and the rookie have 80, not only one.

I had been wondering about that, wasn't sure about Romans when I got my DD, but the rhodium dial was so beautiful, glad I did.
