Anyone bought from US trusted seller but from outside US?
The US trusted sellers here have great prices so I'm very tempted. Has anyone from Europe or Asia etc bought from them? How was it? Ive contacted most of them and they can all send watches abroad with full insurance and without it costing me the earth.

Same here, I've sold watches to people all over the world with no problems. I'm sure any "trusted seller" is capable of doing the same....

I have bought from the very most trusted (David SW) and the formerly trusted (no names) without too much drama. Would buy from David SW again. I think the other guy has been banned from here.

Hi Neil,
I bought a 14060 from krlyuzh in June, shipped to Sweden and transaction was flawless. Superfast feedback on questions in text message but also very patient and informative on phone. Delivery from Virginia Beach to Sweden in 48hrs. Paperwork for custom clearace worked out in VERY nice. I can really recommend krlyuzh and will gladly do some more transactions as soon as the wallet (and wife) allows. |

Neil if you are in the UK you have to pay import duties which come close to 20%.
I'm yet to see a watch that including shipping and that import duty, comes out cheaper than a decent grey dealer in UK. |

You clearly haven't been buying from any of the "Bigger" sellers here on TRF

I haven't because I never even inquired. I calculated the price on my own. I assumed that there was no way around the import duty. Are you saying I am wrong in that assumption because in that case I will get in touch with them the next time I make a purchase.

As Thomas said PM the trf sellers, they are the cheapest around and they all use the same method. Seems to be successful so far as they ship many watches abroad every week.

Yes, I have bought three watches from trusted sellers and all went fine. The sale, the money wiring, the shipment. No issues.

Just for carification though...deliberately avoided import duty / tax is illegal. Not the smartest idea for a public thread I'd suggest.Just sayin'

But it almost sounds like, if I'm reading correct that a discount can be had to cover import duties AND still shave enough off the price to make it cheaper than buying locally abroad. not sure how the Warantee works, but if it is new you should not have any issues anyway. Like I said in another thread. Have heard nothing but good things about our trusted sellers here. If you can do everything legit, pay import duties, and still come out ahead. I say go for it. Plus you get to support a seller here instead of an AD that refuses to discount. |

It works, but be alert to additional duties and factor them into your total landed cost, when comparing to your own local options.
My Middle East experience is that duties are light, but the packages definitely get checked and opened. |
