i just thought the datewheel and cyclops looked strange, ive never seen it look that way.

They look different for sure, watch looks original otherwise though.

From what little I know he seems to be a good guy on a few sites but:

Pointed crown guards would be a little late for 1.6 mil, more like 1.2/1.3 mil - unlikely but this is Rolex so.... If it is an original PCG they command a better price than not.

I would definitely want to see more photos

Looks like someone repainted it, the watch looks okay to me (I could be wrong but besides the date and perhaps the word Perpetual I don't see any reason to be suspicious) but it seems like it may have been worked on. The ad states that RSC relumed the watch but who knows, somebody may have asked another person to work on the dial and date wheel before.

The seller states, "The dial, bezel and bezel insert, crown, jubilee bracelet with 502 end links, hands are all original!"

The seller has been misinformed about this watch.

The watch is cobbled together with mismatched parts. The tags box and tags are not correct.

Dial should be gilt and it currently is fitted with what they refer to as a Mark I , circa late 1960's. Date wheel is not original - have no idea what it is!!!! Hands have been replaced and the 24-hour hand should be the small version. Jubilee bracelets weren't are GMT's during that time frame.

The seller needs to adjust his listing accordingly.

The previous owner did say the mfg year is 1967, and when searched a site, regarding g the serial I thought it is 1963. I had confusion there.

I will contact the previous owner and correct any mistake on my sales post as soon as possible.

And again, thank you all for your inputs, very much appreciated. Please continue letting me know if you think there are some more mistakes on the post, and I'll correct all of the mistakes immediately.

Sorry i didnt mean to cause harm, im new to vintage as well, all i knew was that a few things looked off and i didnt want you to get in trouble or somebody else buy it and be un happy. im glad we have this forum to learn from, im very thankful. Happy it was worked out without any problems.

No need to apologies! You did the right thing and the seller did the right thing. We all make mistakes it is good it happened here so the seller understands that his watch was not correct and no one got hurt from a bad sale. We all make mistakes, and those who have more knowledge teach and correct and shed light to those who know less or nothing.

did i miss something? Ronnie wasnt happy about your embaressment. he was just stating that this is purpose of this section. As far as a PM, i didnt know 100% if i was right so i posted here. good luck with the sale. i would def contact whoever sold it to you because i think they got over on you if you paid what you had in the ad.

I traded my Sub Ca. 1969 with this GMT 1675. That was my first vintage Rolex, and this was going to be my keeper since I love the Pepsi and drilled lugs combo a lot.

However, after seeing a very nice vintage (All original this time!) timepiece (A different brand) I decided to sell this one to fund that piece.

I purchased the Sub on this forum from a very reliable member, but I got the GMT during a face to face transaction / trade.

After seeing the beer drinking icon, I thought Ronnie was happy (Of my embarassment). I may be too sensitive.
