Help needed from LV fans please

Hi guys, here's my dilemma; I purchased my first LV brand new in 2008 (M) and kept it mint/stickered/never worn in my drawer, occasionally bringing it out to swoon over/give it a full wind..Much hassle over the years from forum members saying I should wear and enjoy...Well I never wore it but have really enjoyed a brand new LV for nearly 5 years (OCD)..Recently, I acquired a slightly later 2009 V series, which had been worn, so this is my wearable LV I've been offered £5600 Cash for my stickered LV - which is fast approaching double what I originally paid for it...Is this a no brainer and should I go for this offer, or should I keep it tucked away for a few more years??

The question is: What would you do with the proceeds? If you aren't investing in something more enjoyable than an LV, dont do it! I love my LV

Depends if you need the money. Price can only go up, unless US goes over the fiscal cliff after October 17 and a million Americans need to sell their Rolexes.

i would let it go....these are not rare watches, so, who knows how much more the pricing will go? plus, cashing in will free you of the worry over value and you can get something different that you can actually wear and enjoy.

Unless you need the cash I say KEEP IT!

As was mentioned above they are in fact NOT rare watches BUT unworn fully stickered ones ARE. They are getting more rare each day as someone peels the stickers off and wears it...that's 1 less fully stickered virgin LV.

I'd let go of the unworn one.
It seems that you'll never wear it.
Acquiring the more recent LV that has already been worn seems to have given you a reason to wear it. So keep on wearing it and enjoy it. Watches are no fun when just being stored away.

Yes. Totally agree with you. I have an M that I wear and a fully stickered V that is tucked away. LVs rare? Maybe not. Fully stickered unworn one. Yes.

I suspect that it will double again for you in 5 -10 years. If you don't need the money or want anything else. Keep it.

I've never liked to keep something I don't use and enjoy. Life's too short. You have one to wear. Doubling your profit in a short time sweetens the deal even more. Sell it and move on to the next

I'd agree. Personally if it were me I'd sell it.

Hi shaun, recently i bought a bnib 16610 LV full boxes, papers and stickered and i decided to enjoy my sub c and keep the lv in drawer. I like the idea that i have a brand new watch in my drawer so i can wear the other and enjoy .

You seem to enjoy having your stickered special/pristine LV - I say keep it and reap the rewards down the road.

Kind of in the same boat. I have F serial with flat 4 bezel. I hardly ever wear it and now that I have 116610LV, I know I won't wear it. Only thing keeping me from selling is that people say they will be valuable in the future.

If you're purely some kind if hardcore collector who stuffs watches in a safe, by all means keep it. When WIS events come...."oooooh look at me I have a bnib LV".

I'm 40ish years old and would like to think I have another 40 years left but who knows. After surviving multiple combat deployments I've decided life's too short to save things for later.
Later may never come.

All these Rolexes will outlive all of us, the joy for me is in wearing it not saving it.

I say sell it, if this is purely 100% an "investment" of some kind with no attachment beyond it's worth than hold it. In 20 more years a bnib LV will probably like a comex sub today.

If it were me, I'd sell it. While it's obviously a beautiful piece, the M Serial seems to be about the most common serial range for the LVs from what I have seen. That being said, there is something special about keeping the one that you purchased new. If having a BNIB piece that you purchased means a lot to you, then by all means, keep it. If you are keeping it for collectability purposes, BNIB is obviously excellent, but there are rarer LVs out there. Just my $0.02. Still a beautiful watch regardless and not an easy decision to make.

It wouldn't make sense to keep it all this time and then wear it. Wear your recently-acquired one, sell the BNIB model, and enjoy your profit.

Based on this post, it sounds like you may really regret selling it. Maybe you have answered your own question

If you actually enjoy wearing watches and not just looking at them, sell it and get something you can enjoy.
