Rolex forum European counterpart?
This is an awesome forum and Ive been wondering if theres an equivalent European counterpart?
Ive seen a few watches on here Id probably have bought, but 98% of sales seem to be US (equates to big import duties for me) Ive Googled around but cant find anything... anyone any the wiser? Thanks! |

I think you are still crossing up commercial activity with information value. This is a Global Forum - the sellers who have chosen to offer watches are not a reflection of that basic fact.

He's merely saying that, separately, in the 'sales' section most sellers are us-based. That's why he's asking if there is a European version, so that whilst the information and topic content will still be exactly the same, the fact that it is European will be reflected in the 'sales' section itself. Statistically, most users here are US based. If it was predominantly UK and Europe users there would likely be more European offerings in the sales section. Simple. |

I understand the initial question and about your comment I can say the following. After a couple of years consulting and reading interesting posts in this platform I can realize some information does not correspond exactly to the EU reality, for example, prices (not because of currency exchange) and other value information that are not equivalent. Prices here are higher in general, including the level of demand for some references. That's in our opinion but most of the time information is almost the same as global. Me also will like to find an equivalent forum based in Europe (where we are collecting/dealing watches) that serves as good as rolexforums. Cheers!

The majority there is EU-based and most of them are professional sellers, so you have little to worry about.

Yes, I do look on there every so often, but find it a bit pricey compared to TRF... thanks though!

This thread can be seen in the fossil record!
I would suggest a U.K. subforum, but I reckon it’d instantly result in a slew of mass bannings as everybody boards the banter bus. |
