The One

For me, it's the Submariner, specifically the 14060M.

I love watches and am fortunate to own several, fine watches. I enjoy the luxury of variety...and appreciate features such as a second time zone, or a date complication, or a chronograph. I'm glad to own watches with such virtues.

In terms of The One...the one watch that realistically satisfies my watch needs across a range of activities, the Sub is it. The essence of this watch is its rugged, reliable and timeless design. It is simple, no frills, but for the rotating bezel. It is as tough as I ever need it to be and as elegant as I ever need it to be.

It has history behind it, too, and a long proven track record.

Simply stated, it is a most satisfying watch to own.

I won't be selling my others anytime soon, but this Sub is a lifetime watch for me.

I get the sentiment but I have a difficult time with horological monogamy.

Well, just because I have found The One doesn't mean I don't keep time with others!

I know how you feel. When I picked up my 14060, never realized what a following it has, I just liked it. While it may not be my Only One, it is definitely a Special One. Cheers!

4 liner as posted above, but would have been more than happy with a two liner. I do believe that the 4 line will be more scarce as time goes on.

My "one". Classic design, with updated features. Tough, classy and even a bit sporty.

Nice "One"

The 4 liner is more appealing to me. Congratz!

Same here started w the the liner for the cleaner look but flipped for the four liner ,like those extras on the inner bezel and the two more lines on the dial.

Afraid I'm still too far from having "the one" watch at this point. I love GMT models and have a few. Suspect that when I get to that point of anointing a particular watch "the one", it will likely be a GMT. Alternatively, it could also be my DSSD as I still get excited and love wearing it on a leather strap....and in the interim it is the one.

Classic 14060, imo the cleanest looking sub from Rolex!
