I will be diving with a modified 16600 this weekend

I know this isn't for everyone, but I am going diving this weekend and thought I would pull this one out from a brief retirement. It hasn't gotten much wear over the last couple years, but I plan to use it diving a fair amount over the next couple months

Why would let a watch like that get wet?

Jason, I remember reading the thread when you had that done, wondering if you still had it. Not my cup of tea but it looks like it's held up quite well.

Why wouldn't I??

Unlike most divers I don't use a computer for diving. I dive with a digital gauge as a backup to my Rolex bottom timer. I had this watch modified with the DLC and Yachtmaster hands SPECIFICALLY for diving. I have recently decided it is time to use it diving again.

It was meant in jest. I have a Sub and like most owners of rugged and dive watches, I don't put it to it's intended use. Hope it works well for you.

Wow, those mods look pretty amazing w/ that strap combined! Guessing that is a Maratac MI6 NATO? I wear that same NATO on my 16610's and most recently on my Sub C, which as we know is on its way to Dallas! ;)

Very nice mods, and that yacht master hand is just perfect with that look.

I love this watch. The only thing I don't like is the red hand but I know why you have it. One day I'm going to leave an offer in your pm box, this is my favorite SD on here and mainly because the DLC and YM hands which is the only thing I hated about my previous SD, they were too skinny and lume was just an after thought(compared to the modern line and Omegas).

That looks great! I think there is nothing wrong (and plenty right) with a tastefully done Rolex mod. Yours is a great example.

Of course, I'm biased as I also have a slightly modded Rolex...
