16610 Chapter Ring?

I remember seeing a picture of a 16610 with a chapter ring "RolexRolexRolex". Was that a fake or did they actually come out with these?

Thanks all you WIS

Not all just flipped an M serial that did not have the CRB on the rehaut. I assume like most companys it depends on how much stock of the plain Rehaut they have to use up etc

Likewise I have seen some Z series with the CRB

Is that "Ring" a seperate piece inside, or do they just machine the ROLEXROLEX right into the case?

Not sure, but I think Jocke stated a while back that the CRB version of the chapter ring is an integrated part of the case and non-detachable. I guess it is made that way to make it unique to the watch, now that the CRB version of the chapter ring carries the individual serial number of the Rolex watch.

YES!!! A friend of mine showed me a site yesterday. They have copied the GMTIIc, Yachtmaster & Yachtmaster II to the exact markings!!! It's very scary how good these look.

A coworker of mine bought a fake sub in NY in December and it has the CRB and the LEC. The LEC is very easy to see. I will say it looked pretty good for a fake.

Since it's COD, they won't give you the package until they have the money so you can't inspect it before hand. My advice is not to accept the package and don't give them any money.

A M series SS Daytona is $9200 MSRP from an AD if you're lucky to buy one at retail. They usually go for $11,000 USD.

The auction is from a seller with 0 feedback, spelling mistakes, bad pictures and incorrect information. Those are all signs to stay away.

The only white gold on a SS Daytona are the hands and markers...the case and bracelet are SS. And "M" series didn't exist a year ago so how can it be 1 year old?

He told me to call him if they wouldn't let me open it. Are you guys still saying don't do it?? According to the photo it's the real deal...unless fakes have the engraved rehaut now. I can't find any fakes online that has this in the swiss version. Thoughts? I have an hour and a half to make my decision.

The photo could have been stolen from a legitimate website. And yes, fakes can have the engraved rehaute.

If you don't believe me, post a new message with the eBay link and I will guarantee that everyone will tell you not to do it. If it's too good to be true, it isn't. What does your instinct tell you?

Yes the M started in 2007, but late 2007. What's the chances of a M being at an AD in March of 2007? And what's the serial number on it? If it has the engraved rehaute, the serial number will be at the 6 o'clock.

In the end, it's your money. I'm just trying to help you avoid making a $5100 mistake.

I know the serial number is starts at about the 5 o'clock position and should have a coronet at the 12. Will replicas use the corect serial numbers and be in the exact same spots? Sorry to pound you guys with the questions, but it's the only way to learn. Also thanks for the advice on posting a new thread...I just did.

You're a braver man than I. I would not part with that sort of money to an eBayer with 0 feedback.

You have paid less than I did for a new DateSub from an established AD, for a "Daytona".

"If it sounds too good to be true. It's not true."

Please exercise extreme caution.
