Engraver recommendation

Hi Folks,

I just picked up my Sea Dweller from being serviced by Rikki. He did a superb job and it looks amazing. He is also a great guy to visit with and discuss our mutual interest in watches. After 7-years of use globally it was due for servicing and his TLC.

I want to have the back of the case in graved with both letters and Naval Aviator Wings. I have not found anyone locally (Tampa) who can do this work. I did find a hand engraver out West who quoted me $1500 for the engraving.

Has anyone had there case back engraved with an image? If so, was it hand engraved or machine engraved? Any recommendations for an engraver in South Florida. I prefer not to ship the watch.

Thanks!

I would trust no one more than JC Randall to engrave any of my watches. Period. He's also the only recommended engraver in North America by JLC. Unfortunately you'll have to ship to him as he's in WA.

His website is http://www.jcengraver.com

speaking of engraving, i was thinking of getting my sub engraved, but not with anything so ornate. probably some simple letters and numbers. should i have this done from an AD, or can any decent jewelers shop/watch dealer get the job done for me?

A 53 man! My kinda guy. I was an SH-60 flight surgeon for the US Navy. I've flown in almost every USN/MC helicopter except the 53 actually. Kinda odd considering we had them at Pax River.

Wish I could help more with the engraving. I had mine done on my Submariner at my AD when my father purchased it for me in Philly. I think it only cost a couple hundred dollars. Good luck to you.
