Finding the right seller Timezone.com

Has anyone ever purchased from a seller on Timezone.com?

I've been talking with a guy about a possible purchase, however after reading "DoxaDavid"'s post of the scam that took him I am really leary as to what to do.

I've tried to check out the seller as best I can but I just don't know.

I think the price of the watch is a good deal but not sure if I should take the risk.

I'd prefer a local deal, but there just doesn't seem to be any good Rolex's in my area that are good deals.

Thanks for the help

The seller is "jack alvarez" "[email protected]" it that sets off any red flags in anyone's mind.

Thanks again

Have you searched for references on TZ's sister site, watchnet? Go to the 'Good Guys' section and see if you can find any refs. Good luck!

Find a seller with transaction references who are longtime posters on TZ.

Ask for scans. Despite the good feedback from some sellers, I've discovered that many tend to have skewed or at least very liberal definitions on the condition of their watches.

"95%" condition ain't what one might expect.

I've purchased probably over a dozen watches from the TZ sales corner over the years and have generally been quite satisfied.

What watch are you looking for? I have a GMT TT Ceramic for sale and I'm in Texas and could possibly meet you if this is a watch you are interest in.

Jack has done many deals, do a search under his name at TZ. He also is on WN as a good guy. However, he does not take pics which is why I would be hesitant unless I could do a f2f deal. Good luck.

Have a TRF member go by the location and physically look at the watch. I did with another company and it worked out well. I received a new crystal in the process thanks to a fellow TRF member.

Time Zone doesn't equate to Craig's list, but you must do your homework
