Ethiopian No offense to our Ethiopian bretheren but I'm surprised that would be one of the 26.

Rolex made a special order Day wheel in Ethiopean first for Haile Gebre Selassie also known as the Lion Emperor, Mamo Wolde, Derartu Tulu, Fatuma Roba and the semi-God of Marathon distances the unrepeatable Abebe Bikila.

Man...I am good in Ethiopean History and athletics...and to think that I am just Greek..LOL

Also in Farsi (Persian) because of another emperor Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi

Thanks for the info! Now how well versed are you in Catalan? I hate to advertise my ignorance but I have never heard of Catalan but I'm assuming there is an interesting story here as well.

Well Catalan is the official language of Barcelona.
Barcelona is the capital of Catalunia but it "belongs" to Spain.
Long Story, the same with the Basque language...also in Spain.

So Spain gets three daY wheels.
Spanish, Basque and Catalan...these two are trying for independence for many hundreds
of years no respectable Rolex dealer would sell a president with a Spanish day wheel
IN THESE TWO AREAS...it is called treason..LOL...go to wikipedia.

Catalan
Translations: Monday: dilluns = moon
Translations: Tuesday: dimarts = Mars
Translations: Wednesday: dimecres = Mercury
Translations: Thursday: dijous = Jupiter
Translations: Friday: divendres = Venus
Translations: Saturday: dissabte = sabbath
Translations: Sunday: diumenge = christian god

Basque Days of the Week ....
Days= Egunak

So I would guess that some of these are special circumstance items that are not an ongoing thing. Some seem to be esoteric and I'm assuming they have a very limited circulation.

Hindi is the name given to an Indo-Aryan language, or a dialect continuum of languages, spoken in northern and central India

The native speakers of Hindi dialects between them account for 40% of the Indian population. Standard Hindi is one of the 22 official languages of India, and is used, along with English, for administration of the central government.
Standard Hindi is a sanskritised register derived from the khari boli dialect. Urdu is a different, persianised, register of the same dialect.
Taken together, these registers are historically also known as Hindustani.

Anastasios, what are you trying to say exactly? I speak 1 of those official languages, but Hindi is the national language, and even though there are many diff. official languages almost everyone knows hindi and their own state language.

In a catalog before, I actually saw both the day and even the date in another language. I think in one of the models, BOTH the day and date wheels were written in Arabic. Just wanted to share that since I thought it was interesting.
