gmt 2c price increase?

hey guys/ladies! I'm a newbie here, and I really like the info that got from everyone so far so keep up the great work. Anyways...my question to anyone/everyone is, will there be a price increase for the GMT 2C too. I've read contradicting info, but what are your takes on this...

Welcome to TRF

I 've heard from many AD's and people around forums that the GMT II C will not have it's price increased cause it allready has a high price. Rolex took care of increasing it's price as a watch when it was released to the market.

Yup. That's what my AD told me some time back when I phoned him about another price increase rumour (October 2007). I phoned him today again, and he stated that in Denmark the price increase will be 4.5 % on all models, except the SS GMT IIc and the Milgauss.

Welcome to the new member!

It seems like we'll know the answer in 3 days..

Personally I don't know which way to thnk..

The MSRP was set back at the last price incease, before we actually saw the SS GMT hit the marketplace, so it's price has been in place as long as any other model..

It doesn't seem that raising the price on an economy that is poised near recession is a smart move for the US market.

There are other factors of course, the declining dollar value, some increases in precious metals and it's fuel for inflation...

Interesting year ahead............

So if that's the case we're looking at roughly 7.57% increase.

If you were gonna get it anyway, might as well get it now and beat the possible price increase on it.

If you like classic lines, maxi-dial and green bezel go for the LV. Wear it to our home games!

I was told 6-8% today...will be interesting to see what actually occurs, if anything. The numbers being thrown around are all over the place.

It is doubtful the GMTIIc and Milgauss will see price increases. If the GMTIIc went to roughly $6400-$6500, that would be nearly $1000 higher than the sub (after it's price increase).....that type of dispararity between the two models is way to much.

I predict the GMTIIc, and the Milgauss pricing will remain unchanged.

Doubtful doesn't cut it for me... So, I bought mine a week or so ago - had it shipped out of state to avoid sales tax. Do that if you can!

If it stays same price - bonus, you got yours early!

Enjoy that great time piece!

Three ADs today told me all the same thing, they havent heard that the prices are going up on the 1st. They know they are, but they hadnt yet rec'd the new tags for the stock.
Wonder if the 1st is only a humor. They all said its coming but when didnt know, or atleast say.
