Question on Day Date
I just purchased a day/date model 18238.
SN shows it was made Mid-year of 1990. The dial is bright white,as white as snow but the day and date seems off white. I've looked at dozens on the net and it appears half of those I've found are like mine. Is this due to age or were many made with off white day/dates. ..Thanks for input. |

Welcome to TRF ! All fine, the plastic day and date wheels do fade to off-white over time. The dial was either replaced, refinished, or is just still pristine.
Post a photo so we can all see for sure. |

that's perfectly normal, the watch could have originally had a gold face or it could have faded a bit. My 1986 Dd looked identical.

From that picture, what I see is the common Gold Background/Black Text day & date wheels wherein the gold color has faded.
Anyway it's all good, stop thinking about it, and ENJOY ! |

I'd say the watch originally had a champagne dial.
