Your gold Rolex

For those of you who have a gold Rolex what has been your experience with it. Please share, does it attract more attention than steel. Presuming white gold goes more undetected than yellow. Does it wear worse/faster than steel since gold is softer. How is the arm at the end of the day after wearing a heavy piece. Or is it stored somewhere safe.

Lastly let's see some pictures.

Love gold and platinum Rolex...The look, feel and presence on wrist. As for how it wears vs. SS? The same for me...no difference but will vary with different owners and different lifestyles. Does my wrist need a break from gold? No it feels light compared to my platinum pieces.

So modest... Love it! Cheers. Embrace the lifestyle, we have worked hard for it.

The beauty of a gold Rolex for me is the bracelet, president or oyster, which works so well on a Rolex and often better than on many APs and PPs, where I generally prefer straps, and at much much friendlier prices...

... as Ken has so handsomely demonstated.

Not heavy. Wears well, garners a bit more attention than steel, but only from those in the know,

Been wearing my YG GMT for months and no longer notice the increased weight.
I have not had an unusual number of comments either, unless they came from very close friends/WIS
I do pay attention to whether or not I bang it on my desk, etc.
More so than my DJ and SubC LV!
Life changed only for the better with Gold

Wearing my DD almost everyday here

Until today no one mentioned anything about it

When wearing my Sub . . . a guy asked me if :

1. If I have a big business since wearing such an expensive watch

2. Or if I am selling drugs . . .

In 9 years of ownership of my WG Daytona, I have once had one person comment on it and know that it was WG. Yellow gold is a different story!

As for durability, I think the WG shows hairline scratches a little more than YG.

always catch someone looking at my wrist from time to time... A few people will ask me about it. Now a days with Michael korls watches everyone has a "gold" or "rose gold" watch.

I love the weight. Feels like a solid block on my wrist which I happen to like. It does get glances, mostly from men wearing another decent timepiece.

The only problem is that you can never have too many gold watches!

They are more delicate and flashier, yes, but quite appealing/addictive.

Gold

Gold sucks. Once you put one on stainless becomes stinky.
