16600

There has been oh so much talk about the NEW Sea Dweller…

And I have no doubt that it's a very nice watch…

But there is no replacing the "Work Horse" of my collection…

Here's to my unpolished P Series 16600…

All Hail…!!!

Its more desirable to me as we go through the "ceramicization" of the Oyster Professional line-up...

I love the classics as much as the next guy, but I'm really loving my ceramic bezel too. It's like air cooled 911 with 250hp vs today's direct injected 400hp engine... No wrong answers! Cheers.

Hmmmm, as far as I can see the new SD has the same engine as the old one… I think this is more like the same air cooled 911 but with LED taillights and modern alloy wheels… More like a facelift than anything revolutionary. It's very nice, but for that I think they are charging a bit too much IMO.

I'm perfectly happy with my 16600Z.

The older non-ceramic Sea Dweller's is definitely the way to go in my book.....

I mean it's nice and all but you gotta go a little further back to get me excited, like before white gold surrounds back. Then we can really do some hailing.
So if my choice is this or the new SDc then in my case I would choose the ceramic hands down without a doubt. But that's just me.
The SD 16600 was my first Rolex and that's a beautiful SD you have, so what matters is that you enjoy "it" and don't worry to much about the new kids on the block.

Oh, that watch is so last milenium; now everyone only wants Ceramic. I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands so you can move on to the newest and greatest.
