I love my 114060 but the new SD looks amazing, I can't have both so what would you do?

Both have similarities, and differences, I'd vote 114060 but need to make a trip to the retailer to look at the 116600 once its in, hopefully soon.

The Sub is just such a solid piece. On this site, you'll find the choice debatable. In the real world, real people, even those who appreciate nice watches, will give you a blank stare and ask "huh?"

For me they are very similar, the main difference is greyish matte dial or black glossy dial, the latter I prefer to match the bezel on the ceramics.

They are different. Sure. But they are so very similar. No sense paying all that money for such a similar watch. And personally, I much prefer the sub. No contest.

I prefer the 114060 as it is my go to watch. I have not seen the SDC in the flesh but can see the appeal. I would wait a short time to see if the feeling of wanting the new watch stays with you. The flip would be costly to go to the SDC and by waiting the excitement for the new watch may calm down and you could save a few dollars.

If the case shapes were the same, it would be a toss up.
But comparing the two, the SDC lugs and crown guards are a necessity for me.

SDC by a country mile. They are not similar in my view.
Differences that immediately spring to mind. 1. Fully graduated bezel 2. Helium Escape Valve 3. Matte/Satin dial 4. Date 5. Raised crystal 6. Divers Extension 7. Significant additional depth rating 8. Deeper case 9. Slimmer and shorter lugs, changing the shape significantly 10. Less square crown guards 11. Much less common (never seen another SD in the wild (old or new) It's perfectly ok to prefer the Sub, but to say they are really similar is just not true.
