Icon10 Is it possible to find this GMT II brand new? 16710

Good morning everyone...

I know this particular GMT is now discontinued.
Does anyone know when it went out of production and if anyone was able to locate a brand new one from an AD recently?

I think I want one of these as well

Ad's won't sell online but most still have them, with the new pricing. Davidson and Litch still has some. Call 1.925.935.0940(Walnut Creek CA.) ask for Jeremiah (great guy). They polish your bracelet once a year for the lifetime of your watch. That's why I bought through them.

It began being phased out as soon as the new SS GMT IIc was introduced at the Basel Fair in April 2007.

Frostie, is it like this one that I copied from another thread here?
I was asking but nobody could say if it is a photoshop on real...

This one looks like a photoshop though, unless if it is a bad pic ... but that's how the new ceramic pepsi will be if they finally make one.

New 16710s are still available at some ADs. Mine has one (or at least did a few days ago).

The one you show isn't new. It's either a luminova dialed watch or had a service replacement as noted by "SWISS" at 6 o'clock.

The M's are out there. Remember the 4 16710s on TZ with the "stick dial" (ll instead of II) that were fitted with the 3186? Those were all M-serials.

The M should have the RBR, as all but the SD do. Should also have the 3186 movement with the parachrom hairspring--which will make it quite a transition piece, somewhat rare, and possibly valuable someday.

I have a Pepsi M series 16710 purchased a few months ago. It has the stick dial and came with a GMTc owner's manual! The bezel is bi-directional and clicks in small increments.

Mine does not have CRB.

That's really interesting

Do you think that it might have the new hairspring too? What's the accuracy?

My AD called me last week & said he had just gotten 2 more in. He was very surprised. He thought like most of us did....that Rolex had stopped shipping old GMT II's. He said he was told there would be some available until probably mid 2008. He offered me one @ the old price less 10%.
