My first dress watch - VC

Very excited and just thought I'd share a few pics of my first dress watch. I have always tend to lean towards more casual and sport watches as I prefer versatility in my small collection, but I think as I learn more and my taste evolves, the thought of getting a dress watch to round out my watches became stronger.

To give you a sense, I had previously thought my AP jumbo was as dressy as I was going to get

I have also never owned a precious metal watch before so might as well combine the two and started my search. My requirement was a dress watch that is RG, manual wind, under 40mm, preferably no date, and preferably 3 hands, and ideally in the mid-high $10K range.

Lots of great advice from members here which I much appreciated; the wealth of knowledge in this forum never cease to amaze me, and it was extremely difficult to try and stay within budget as there are so many great dress watch options once I started looking into them, especially in the $20K -30K range

In the end, I think I found the perfect dress watch for me, so really excited about that. The Lange Saxonia Manual Wind was a close second, but in the end the one that really spoke to me is the VC Patrimony. Don't see too many VCs here, so thought I'd share a few pics of my latest addition

Huge congrats. That is an absolutely beautiful watch - simple yet truly classy and timeless. Enjoy that beauty.

I've been on the search myself and this VC is on my shortlist. I've also been waffling between a Lange and a few other contenders.

As you noted, there aren't too many VCs on TRF, did you buy from an AD or a trusted seller on TRF?

that is a beautiful watch! Congrats! I was eyeing an 1815 Lange myself but I might have to pay a trip to the VC boutique after those pics:)

Gorgeous, congratulations. I am with you on three hands -- I need to see the seconds tic by, and also see that +1 if you can get it (my Sub is about +4 right now)

Thanks! I used to be all about the seconds hand, but after owning the AP Jumbo I have come to appreciate two hand watches as well. But any watch that has a seconds hand I will always measure the accuracy. With the non-hacking on the VC it makes it a bit more difficult to set the time, but will see how accurate it is over the coming days.
