Well it showed up at around 3:45 so it was a little earlier than I expected.

Here's some quick pic's I took:

To be brutally honest, I like the looks of it in pic's way better than I do on my wrist. I wasn't really prepared for that either. I wonder if for some it's an acquired taste? I am kinda let down a little by it, but I hope that feeling will fade!

Okay, since you're a good friend of mine, I will gladly take it off your hands.

You mean "Pals", like in Young Guns?

I'm gonna give it a few day's to see how I feel about it, but at this point I think in some respects I like the white dial better!

I would have to agree with you. I wanted this watch to until I saw it in person. Its not for me, but I hope you enjoy it. Hey you can always sell it to swissluxury

Very nice, I just wish they made the GV with the white dial, I would be all over that. I like the white dial more because it makes the dial appear bigger than it's actual 40mm size.

hmmm...that is disturbing to hear.
give the watch some time; but here's the really great part. if you decide you don't like it, you can always sell it(right now at least) and get your money back ++++. There's a lot of people who will buy it from you right here on TRF. Look no farther than your friends....

Enjoy that beautiful watch as long as you decide to keep it.
best,
dan

I have a black face clear crystal milgauss. ive wanted this watch since it was announced and was a little let down in early january when i was only able te get "regular" and not GV. since i put it on for the first time it was instantly my favorite rolex i own. the face has a simple look while its size and feel is bigger than my daytona. I like it so much, i have been looking to get a GV model as well. My dealer called me and said he had one for sale at aftermarket price of 14k.I had zero intention of paying that price but went to check it out. in person the green crystal hazes when the watch is on an angle. it gives it a foggy look. i was not that impressed at all with the green glass and the black face combo. I happen to like the actual face of the GV with the 3 orange markers better than mine but im really happier with one i have. (looks wise NOT value wise. 14k???)

I happen to think the GV would have looked much better on the white face.

My prescription to return you to full happiness:

Wrap up the G.V., put my name and address on the package and send it off a.s.a.p.

The added side benefit is that I will feel good too

I suppose I would get nicknamed brown-noser for sure then! Although it might get me a few brownie points with the "HMIC".

Maybe even throw in some ice cream on top of the brownie, eh?
