SD vs SS GMT-c

Now this is the question!!! If you had to choose only one Rolex which one of the two would it be? Cost is not a problem

that was my same choice.... originally going for the SD... ended up with the gmtiic. I think having both is the best option - Nik

Was in a similar scenario- went in looking at a sub, walked out with the GMT IIC and couldn't be happier!

Had both and decided to keep the GMTII-C - both are great watches but IMO the GMT just shades it..........................then again if you are an adventurer then the SD is the one to go for (no polished links!!)

Well, I was all for the SD, until recently when I flip-flopped to the GMTc. Both are great watches, it's just that I now seem to "rediscover" how great the GMTc is.

Well knowing that something new is coming on BaselWorld 2008 and getting a tease from Rolex Website, I guess its better to see what's the new one and a lot here are speculation that indeed it could be a NEW SD and fortunately, its one of your choices. So try to wait and see but if you're talking about now as in this moment, I'll take the GMT-II C

I would pick the GMT II C, mainly because occasionally I could use the GMT Hand and because I don't want to be more than 100 meters deep anyway.

GMT IIc ... for now

The GMT IIc has the edge for now with its latest improvements. It is a marvellous looking watch. My only berievement would be the price being charged for it.

However, let's see if there is a new SD announced at Basel 2008. That could make this a really competitive poll. Right now it's the GMT IIc for me over the SD.

Gmt Ii-c...

...To me, because look more elegant to me. But I like both, if I must choose one between 'em, I prefer GMT II-C.

SeaDweller

I'd still pick the SeaDweller for its smart clean looks. Can't wait for Basel's release of a new SD.

prefer SD just because I do not like cyclops.

GMT 2 is a beautilful watch.. so you can't really go wrong with either.
