Hi My Friends,

I was wondering if someone could translate the writing on this picture.

Kind Regards,

Hmm, I'm starting to wonder if I should have put "please" in the title? Or, maybe it's something derogatory?

This was asked at a guitar forum I frequent, but I only visit the Pub, which is like our Open Discussion Forum, but very juvenile.

The best answer I've seen so far in the Pub, is "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down."

Sorry for the late reply. I am currently up in the mountains around Chiang Mai in Thailand.

In Japanese its says "Nana korobi yaoki."

English translation would be like,

If we miss something or fail we can try and try again. Never give up. Literally, "If you fall down 7 times you get up 8."

I used to read Japanese but I don't recognize those. But it has been a few years.

A little image search found this .... Lived in Japan for 18months when i was 13 (Dad was in the air force). Learned hiragana and katakana, but didn't stay long enough to learn Kanji.

Fall down seven times, get up eight.

So maybe it is "weebles wobble but they don't fall down!"

Thank You!
