The 116718 has landed...
I had been pondering over this ref for a few days already, and decided to go green dial.
Thanks to Mike(kilyung) for his advice 9 months ago ...."go for gold" Thanks to all who posted their pics of the 116718, it finally pushed me over to YG. Here's a quick pic, will remove them stickers in a short while. |

Another beautiful acquisition Patrick. I am just wondering, how does 40mm feel compared tothe 422 which is 47mm feel. I feel that it is a big difference and I don't know if I can convince myself to the smaller watch. I am so used to 44mm and I find it difficult to wear a 40mm. I wish it wasn't the case because most of Rolex most eye appealing watches are 40mm. This one you bought has me drooling but I just don't know how to convince myself. Do you have any suggestions as we seem to have similar taste. Thanks and a very big congrats on the gold!

Thanks Nicholas, I sometimes wear the 44mm to work and most recently the 422, to me its fun to have variety, but the classic 40mm Rolex goes well with any attire. The 422 when on my wrist I felt its ok, not too large, but I get a lot of glances from perplexed strangers, in the business district during lunch hour. I normally don't care and wear whatever I choose in the morning. As for the 40mm size you will probably get used to it quite quickly, when you find one that you really like. The heft of the 116718 on the wrist is quite reassuring, you will feel it. I hope to see you sporting a 40mm very soon, my friend! |
