Welcome and enjoy your stay both here and in America. Your English is quite good w/one little niggle... I believe you mean Affection. Infection would be a medical condition that needs attention... Again, welcome and enjoy...

Welcome to the Forum and I'm sure you'll enjoy working your way round, even with your 'infection' - probably Rolexitis.

It's the only disease I know of that is taken care of by purchasing more of what got you infected in the first place .

Icon6 hi steve

i have a steel 6542 gmt but unfortunately the back is 1500 ........... i have been scouting around on watchnet.com as well but no luck so far
apart from this i use panerai gmt 29a series tuxedo dial and lots of other brands like daniel roth and frank muller!
i sold listen carefully four years ago ........... a double red sea dweller, submariner 5510 and 6202 turn-o-graph written on the dial for a measly 17000 singapore dollars=10800 us$ to a watch dealer friend of mine and looking at prices today in antiquorum ..........
still have lots left in bits and pieces like submariner red dial and turn-o-graph dial and gulf countries logo rolexes ::)
playing catch up is indeed costly just won 1655 with papers on e-bay for $17100 the guy is asking for wire transfer ........0 feedback is it safe ??? or should i ask for referances before i remit and ask for his address and phone number as well ........ wat sez you?

I would not buy a thing from anyone without a lot of feedback and a decent rating to boot. This guy could be a major scam awaiting to steal anyone's money.

Go with someone more seasoned. There are plenty of good sales people out there.

Here are some good examples of fine Vintage Watches from probably good sellers:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-EXPLORER-I...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/Mens-Steel-Orang...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Oyster-Per...QQcmdZViewItem

Good Luck

Don't do it. I got burned that way. I was given a valid wire transfer account number. Transferred the funds and waited in vain for the watch to arrive. Could not get the money back once it was sent.

Fortunately, the scammer was a bit of an idiot. He did the same thing to someone else. The police traced him to a small town in Missouri and arrested him before he could spend the money. It took a year, but I got my money back.

no actually i am an old e-bayer in fact since 2002 but was cheated three times for a measly 720 dollars by three diffrent persons so retired hurt
now after a hiatus of almost two and a half years was trying again as a newbie
the best part is the listing was to end on 16th april and suddenly this change of heart happens...........the guy tried his luck thinking me to be a starry eyed first timer ............ who's gonna be extra nice and naive
ya i'm about to report to e-bay but still would give the guy time to defend himself .............. thanks to nigeria and west african crime 418 as it is known!

I sent you a PM about other 1655's that I found that are legitimate and quality sellers. The watch you won looks great but, if I was spending that kind of money, I would agree to meet him in person to complete this transaction. This seems too risky to send him $17,000 of you money without any guarantee.

It is a beautiful watch. The one I listed that looked the best has a scratch on the crystal and is listed for $25,000. That is $8,000 more than the one you won but I believe it is a safer transaction unless you do it in person.

Good-Luck.

Nice looking collection. Even some unusual pieces we don't see here often. Like the Daniel Roth.
