List of 1975 models
Hi there,
new the forum and also to the Rolex world. I was wondering if there is a list of which Rolex models where available in 1975. I'm currently owning a 5513 and would like to expand my collection with watches from the same vintage. Thanks for your help, Bernd |

Worth investing in some period literature or brochures.

Off the top of my head, you should be able to find a GMT Master, Date Just, Day Date or Explorer II.

Good luck. That year is hard to come by.

Yes it is! Both 75 & 76. I ran into this when looking for a birth year GMT. They are out there though.

Been looking for a good 1675 for years. That's a nice one.

Keep us updated as to what you find. I have never bought a vintage Rolex and a 1975 will be my first vintage. I see we must be the same age.

Thanks for your interest. I own a 5513 from 1975, it's my birthyear. The pricelist i found on this forum is really helpful. I'd like to start a collection from that year. Datejust seem to be available and OK with the prices. GMT and Daytona is another story though.

This is interesting because I've never found a 1975 Rolex either, practically every other year around it but never that. I wonder why? Were fewer watches made that year?

Think so. There is a thread about some oil crisis 74-75 and production was down

I am thinking a nice example of a date just with a roached bracelet that I can get a deal on and have some (very minor mechanical) work done and throw it on leather and let the vintage flag fly. Not one to make perfect.
