Fixed lug bars

Does anyone here know where I can send a SD to have fixed lug bars installed? Ideally, I would like to find a custom watch maker who has experience doing this. And no, I'm not going to purchase a Pro-Hunter. Thanks.

BTW.: Why'd you want to do that, if I may ask? Are you intending to wear the SD on a NATO band?

Why???? You can still wear a nato obviously and if your worried about the spring bars breaking, if one breaks and you have it on a nato your fine, you still wont lose your watch. The only time I would throw a nato on a Rolex is if I was going into the ocean with it, if a spring bar breaks free with the bracelet, their is another Rolex on the bottom of the ocean, with the nato, you have extra security. Think long and hard before you do what you are thinking about doing please... that poor SD

Yes, I intend to use a NATO strap permanently. I think the best thing to do would be to sell the SD and get a pre-owned 14060M. I just don't have much faith in the strength of the spring bars.

The Oyster bracelet is a time-proven and very dependable, solid and long lasting bracelet.......and now with the SELs, it's even better.

Why have you lost faith in the spring bars? These bars are very well supported by the end links that tuck up between the lugs of the watch case.

I've been using Rollies for over 27 years and NEVER had a bar ever breaking on me. You can still use the NATO if you wish, but I wouldn't FIX the bars permanently.

Yes, they certainly can. But our friend wants to have them permanently welded onto the lugs; so there's no chance of them breaking off with the NATO strap.

And furthermore, the only Rolex that was ever officially approved for military service was a Submariner with fixed lug bars.
