So Snapchat is now valued higher than Porsche, Harley-Davidson and Rolls Royce Corporations. It is also twice the market value of the Rolex brand.

Something just doesn't make sense here.

Come on, seriously??

How can Snapchat be worth 15B??

Just because one company invests in it, doesn't mean it's correct valuation.

This is my thought. The company valuating snapchat is the very company investing in it.

Very much doubt someone would actually pay up 15B for it.

The market value of Rolex is $7.7 billion. It's a company with a history and a tangible product. Snapchat is code on a programmer's computer in a market where public whims change almost daily. (Just ask Netscape, MySpace, America Online and Palm.) It is unsustainable growth.

And the amazing thing is that in today's world none of that matters.
