Mark of the WIS?

I assume many of you also have this permanent scar from the crown. Is there an official term for this?

I echo Tom. I wear my Sub 24/7 and don't get that indent. Must have thick skin to match my thick head!

Never had that happened to me, even with the mega crown guard of a Panerai.

Could it be perhaps it was worn a tad tight?

I leave a pinky gap on the sub when wearing.

I would think that OP wears it a little too loose so the weight of the watch pushes the crown down on the skin (when the arm is down in its natural, relax position) but I could be wrong.

I would expect to see that if you were practicing on the horizontal bars otherwise no.

Can't say that's common at all. Maybe get the AD to help with the fit?

I had a watch once that left a large callous on the back of my hand, but I've never had anything like that with a Rolex.

Can happen if the watch is not fitted correctly. I have had a friend complain of this. Have you tried different set ups ? eg. Moving a link from one side to the other or a half link. It can help this.

It's funny you posted this, I have the same problem! Not quite as bad as you, but a slight mark none the less. I wear a Sea Dweller or Tudor Sub, maybe the larger crown?

I have the same mark, always have.

I wear my watch very high up my wrist where others wear theirs slightly further down.

My watch is fitted well. It's just an indentation nothing major.

All a matter of preference...but I do not. Try wearing a little lower and adjusting the fit so that it doesn't slide down to the wrist.

Hard to tell from your picture but the watch looks like its being worn extremely loose since it looks crocked on your wrist. Also is there a multi colored bracelet on the other side of the watch on your wrist? That may be forcing the watch to dig in when your arms down causing the impression. Both are easy fixes.

I get the same mark from my Sub C. I have adjusted the glide lock to various options but this simply creates "the mark" higher or lower on my hand. I have resorted to often wearing on my right wrist which i don't prefer, but this is necessary to avoid a gross looking callous. So interesting that others have this same problem. I thought it was just my 6.5" wrist or my specific anatomy. I am not alone!!

I get it if I'm wearing one of my watches when I do push-ups in the morning but it is not permanent at all.
May just need to adjust your bracelet.

Nope, never had this. My crown has never touched my skin, I don't thnk. I guess the caseback keeps it raised up off the surface of my wrist.

Doesn't happen to me with Rolex crowns but whenever I wear APs their logo gets branded into the underside of my wrist.

Moi aussi- I wear my bracelet loosely and it slides down to hit there when my wrist is bent- also probably shows up more on us over-40 crowd whose skin isn't quite as resilient as when we were younger...
