My 'problem'

Well, no a real problem but still something to discuss. Before I leave the office I check TRF for new messages. On the way home, I’m already thinking about the (silly) answers I’m going to post. Agreed, still not a big deal but lately the balance between ‘serious’ and non-serious posts is completely gone. When I saw Paul’s new ‘manly’ picture, about 5 awful replies popped-up in my mind. It seems that I permanently reside in the Jokes and Cartoon section. But the most startling discovery is that I can’t do without TRF anymore. The first thing I do is to check if there are any TFR messages in my e-mail.

But you guys are such a great bunch! And the fact that TRF isn’t ruled by iron fisted MOD’s adds to this as well! And still the whole atmosphere remains relaxed! An incredible feat!

Well said Frans, but I gotta say, this place wouldn't be the same without you.

BTW, I think the above post was a brilliant way to get people to stop hammering you (and the Dutch in general). Well done!

Well, actually I tried in a polite, civil and subtle manner to stop YOU from hammering me John. You started it all. Alas, it is clear that my plea has fallen on your big, deaf ears

Thank you, Frans, for expressing what I feel. And here I thought I was the only one who is so addicted to TRF. This is worse than eyeing new watches. If I don't get my TRF fix every day, I start to get the shakes.

Will this misery never end.

I feel ya Frans, It sounds silly but I find myself doing the same thing. When I get up I check TRF to see whats going on. When I get home from work, I shower and change and check TRF again to see what I missed. While I'm at work I'll think about some of the posts I entered and look forward to how funny some of the responses are going to be.
My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I'll sit at the computer and laugh my ass off B/Sing here with you guys. The most ironic thing, at least for me, is that I've never talked, or typed, or whatever you call this on a forum before, nor did I ever envision myself doing so. I never understood why people did, honestly, I thought it was a little strange; conversing with people that you can't see or hear and have never met before.
I don't know many people that are as interested in watches as I am. I guess thats why I enjoyed this place to begin with. There is a great bunch of guys here. I actually look forward to logging on, and have a great time when I'm here, regardless of weather the topic is watches, ball breaking, clogs , or just B/S. This place is made up of an impressive group of people who should be proud of what they have achieved here.

Same goes for me.
Even sneaking here during the work day.
Receptionist has asked me many times "What are you laughing at? There's no one in your office!"

Great replies guys! We kinda feel the same way about TRF. Because I run an IT department it's a bit well, eh, bad if I would go to TRF and LMAO all day. I have to set an example. Ah, we all have our cross to bear.

I feel the same way. When I'm working, I'll be wondering what's going on here. Sometimes I LOL when I'm delivering at something that I've read here. It happened to me this past Sun. My parents and MIL were here for dinner and I was talking ans all of a sudden I got this sh*t eating grin on my face cuz I was thinking of something on here. My mother asked me what was so funny and I just said that I was thinking of something.

Frans, this place would not be the same without you.

Paul you're a great guy! (Not just because of your compliment). But I'm a lost case because when I saw the last sentence the first thing I wanted to write was: "This place wouldn't be the same without you too Paul, it would be a hell of a lot better, tosser!" I am not normal I'm sick

Thanks for the nice sentiments, Frans. TRF is a great place to be on. I've never in my entire life (and that's going back like over 400 years! ) made so many friends as I have done in the last 8 months or so.

This is a wonderful forum and it's members like you and the others that have contributed their piece of the action in making this place what it is today!!

And in all this, we must NEVER forget the fact that our boss, Modest Mark, is the one who's putting in all his efforts, time and money to keep this fourm going.

Thanks, Mark and all TRFers for bringing a slice of Heaven down to Earth!!

I too agree, this place is a great place I think about it too during work, but I can't check till I get home. I've never met a more friendly bunch of guys who can be both serious and still talk some too, and it's all for fun, the jokes, the cheese, the dutch, the kiwi, and a little too. So what's with the dutch anyways?
