Guess who my new Florida neighbor is Rolex people?

Michael Kors. His partner Lance, graciously sent all the neighboring homes a gift basket for all the construction going on. From all the posts on TRF, I was expecting a basket of watches.

The Kors house takes up two lots and is much larger than us poor folks. We received fruits, tropical lotions, and a bottle of wine. Very nice gesture. I heard this will be his main home.

I read that it is actually in Long Boat Key, which is right by Sarasota. Great spot.

From what I read it will be 6,300 sq. ft. and cost under $3mm. Not that humungous for a billionaire, and I'm actually impressed by that. The land was probably that much though.

Does anyone in that neighborhood have a spare room for me? I'm quiet, clean and potty trained! (well, MOST of the time anyway... ).

I'm sure that won't be the last gift... He will be sending something out to the neighbors after his first raging party! Cool they respect the neighbors.

Awful "jewellery", rip-off design badly made watches and tacky chav handbags on the way

A nice gesture for the neighbors being inconvenienced.

That is correct. Longboat Key, a nine mile by 1/2 mile island off Sarasota. I was amused when I found out he was building a house here only because his company likes to copy our watches; I have little other interest.

He paid 12 million for two houses and leveled them; his new house will cost approximately 9 million.

Well then, if that's the case now I'm not so impressed.

The $2.7MM/6,300 sq. ft. from the article I read did seem a bit understated for a billionaire fashion designer.
