not holding power

guys, I have a a three year old GMTC. i have notices it will not hold a charge for more that 12 hours. any ideas? I think I have been winding enough… just started to happen. could something be broken?

Given it full 40-turn wind? Are you not very active while wearing?

i gave it a full 40 yesterday at noon and it did to make it through the night

it should take 2-8 hours to wind the power reserve if it is on your wrist. you dont hear any rattling do you?

i think the simple test is let it wind down. then wear it and see if it starts up.

then let it wind down, then wind it fully. see what happens. if it doesnt hold power you prob should send it to rsc.

"perpetual" is a relative marketing term.

It's not uncommon to have to wind your auto watch every 3rd day.

Most get away with not having to do that, depending how much they move their wrist around

Rolex now recommends 60 as full wind iirc.

That's odd. I would get that checked out to see if something is wrong..I wouldn't think a 3 yr. old watch would need a service.
