Bracelet End Link Gaps.. Normal?
Hey all,
While I have seen many panerai bracelet models Not having this problem, mine does.. I wanted to know if these gaps where normal? I have a new j series and the gaps I am speaking of are where the end links connect to the case. there is a lot of play in the end links and does not look so hot when wearing my pam on the bracelet. |

I agree.......pins are cheap to get....then get rid of the bracelet and start collecting straps!

Yeah, like what meloncap said. Bent springbars may be the issue. The endlinks should be flush with the case.

Did you buy the PAM from an AD? Make sure it's not aftermarket parts.

Quite honesty not too many will be noticing the gap, they should and will be noticing everything else the watch screams out at you.

Which model is that? PAM240???
This is what I know, those PANERAI models that does not originally come with a bracelet, the case is slightly different from those models with bracelets originally. Except for some of the submersible models like the PAM24, PAM25, PAM199 for eg, OEM bracelets will fit them nicely. In short, you have to see if the model comes with bracelet originally or not. But there are people saying after market bracelets can fit most models too. |

Send it back and have them fix it if it really bothers you. Remember you are entitled to get what you paid for, you did not pay for gaps.

thanks guys,
I will send it back i'm working with someone at panerai in NY office to help speed things up as I have fingerprints inside the crystal, caseback scratches tool marks on the side of the case and crown gaurd and light scratches on the bracelet like it has been worn for a couple months and please keep in mind when I sent it in, it was perfect brand new condition. only got 2 weeks of light rist time as my submariner is my everyday watch which looks more new than my panerai at this point. haha... talk about a nightmare.. no to add the gaps in my links... I'm asking for a watch replacment at this point but i don't think it will happen. So they will prob just keep taking apart and tinkering with what was a brand new watch but it will never be the same and I told them that... I also gave panerai as many before and after photo's that I could find on my computer to help my situation some... we will see what happens.. ill keep you all posted on the outcome... So far the ppl at the TX service center are of no help, short over the phone, and the director john sokol does not return phone calls ever. nice way to treat customers.. I guess it isn't always true you get what you pay for when it comes to panerai's.. it hurts to even wear my watch at this point so it has been sitting back in the box at this point. :*( losing my watch for months in service to come back worse is not what i had in mind to enjoy a watch i have never gotten to enjoy. |
