Going full gold or...

Should I ease my way in with a two tone? Not sure if I'm ready or can pull off a full gold Sub.

Maybe an expensive lesson to learn if I go full go and then decide it's not for me.
Is the 116613 a good transition into the 116618?  Or just go big and be done with it?

It is personal taste. Would you wear a full gold all the time? If so, go for it. If uneasy, 2T is a beauty!

My suggestion: try both on. See how they feel. My daily is a 2T sub, but love my gold watches as well. What is your current collection?

I've tried both on already but just can't decided - especially when you're at the AD - everything just seems to feel right and sparkle and sing.

This will be my one and only YG piece. I have something in RG and SS already. Nothing in two tone.

Is this a RG and SS or two separate watches?

TT for now would be a great choice IMO, would be a great transition into the YG PM world:)

Have never thought about my TT's as being 1/2 way to all gold, I view them as a look and style on their own. I think most people can pull off full gold, unless you feel you would be insecure about it.

Gotta agree with my man Felix. If you are going to wear it in rotation then that is a perfect way into PM. I started with 1 and a few SS but gradually the PMs took over and now I am wondering if I can pull off SS.

Thanks for the responses guys. But let me rephrase the question. Has anyone owned the 116613 as a prelude to going full gold and then transitioned to the 116618?

Or has anyone taken a step back from full gold 116618 to a more subtle version of the 116613?

I started with a TT 116613 and transitioned into full PM. Great way to start out and see if you can handle the bling.

I can only speak for myself and I went from SS to full gold directly. If you worry about a full gold watch attracting much more unwanted attention than a TT thatīs simply not true. As soon as it includes YG itīs flashy anyway.

Just make sure to try for yourself if you like the weight and feel of the full gold or not.

I've been wondering about two tone versus gold as well. There is the issue of cost. Id be more inclined to take a flyer on a less expensive piece. There is also the bling factor. I would think two tone would be a little less noticeable. I've also heard that two tone is an old man's watch. That might be ok. I'm moving in that direction and a ttyellow sub has caught my eye. To me, it seems classy without going over the top. I don't know how others view two tone and would appreciate any thoughts by those who have had both.

I like SS, TT and full gold. I am going to be in the minority I think but I actually find TT the "flashiest" of the three because of the contrast. I would go full gold if you think you can wear it daily.

There is actually something in this as the YG can often look a bit washed out and just looks like a slightly yellow tinged SS, whereas with the two colours of the metals and their contrast can sometimes be more striking.

I'd wear Plat, WG AND SS. Those yellow gold GMTs and Subs look awesome though.

I'd pass on TT. BUT it's all personal taste.

I have recently gotten a TT Bluesy Sub and can tell you it's very blingy. Catches the light on the gold PCLs and bezel particularly. The all gold version is mainly brushed in the areas where mine is SS anyway so I can't imagine the all gold 618 being MORE blingy than the TT. Also it's three x the price and a lot heavier. TT is a beauty.
