My second Rolex :)

http://m.imgur.com/a/RglQ7

this is me second watch to my collection! A vintage 1971 datejust. My first watch was a 1957 airking. I am loving the jubilee band. And I love the date feature which is why I bought this one. I hope at some point in the future to flip these and buy myself a more modern datejust 2 with a Roman numeral dial! These are my only watches that I own, and I hope to add on many more as I start my career and Rolex collection. I aspire to have a beautiful collection like most of you guys here on TRF. I love browsing here and seeing The Pateks, AP's, yachts maters etc. and I just want to thank you all for sharing your watches and toys. It is all motivation for me as I start my career on Wall Street very soon You older guys have some SERIOUS class and style

Very nice pickup! I have a very similar piece from '77 and I love it. It's a timeless style.

You have great taste. My suggestion would be to keep these in addition to saving up for the next one. Personally I would only sell a watch if I lose the love / enjoyment for wearing it. I especially think this holds true with vintage. Easier to acquire another modern piece than a vintage one if there are any regrets. Just my opinion though. No matter which way you go, as long as you enjoy your collection it's the right choice for you.

Very nice DJ; my DD was from '72 and still has working tritium (in the very dark of night only however).

Great looking DJ. I'd stick with this one rather than flipping for a newer version.

Once your settled into the new career path and have firmed up your financials, look for another watch. This one will serve you well until then.

Huge congrats.

I think you should keep this one when you start earning the big bucks.

It is a fine addition to any collection
