Rolex AD service center ruined my crown guards

Sent my D serial explorer for service and light polish and it came back with black spot on the dial and a ruined crown guard and some dark spot on hour mark 5

I'd say that someone owes you a new case! Wow, that's unbelievable, do you have any "before" pics?
Which RSC did you send it to? It's hard to believe that they let it go out the door like that.
The dial spot should be easy to remove. The "spot" on the lume plot may have been there prior to the service, did they replace the dial? I assume a call is in to RSC?
As Adam posted, was this a service done by the AD or an actual RSC? Please keep us posted.

Then send it back, that is what a warranty is for.

OH NO! I know that shop and have spent money there in the past! Great shop to buy from (and I personally like the staff) but, as your experience illustrates, I don't know that I would have real work done there. No offense, but you gotta know that a lot of work done (generally speaking, not just in the sphere of watches) in Egypt is NQR...Not Quite Right.

Everyone recommended him for the service and with the service they offer w light polish ! If the best can do such harm then what ? I am taking it back to them but the problem is that they will say the dent was there before the polish am trying to find pics to prove it

I'd say that you're good with that pic, it does look like that lume plot at 5 has the dark spot already in it though. It also looks like you have a piece of dust on the outside of the 4 o'clock marker at about 4 o'clock. Here's to a good solution in this matter.

Tough to see that crown guard. The spot on the dial should be an easy fix.

When we drop a piece at the RSC here for service, a rep. sits down with us and goes over the watch carefully, noting all scratches, dents, flaws and the number of links on the bracelet. We then sign the the notes taken by the rep so that there is no question later on regarding the condition of the watch when we handed it over. Do you not do the same?

Yeah, they spot things in one minute you never even knew existed. Quite annoying really!

Haha...Yep! I understand exactly why they do it, though.

WOw, the crown gaurd....how the heck would that even happen?!?!?

I don't think you'll get anywhere with the 5 o clock lume plot...

However, in your second pic, seems to be black spot/mark below the canon pin on the dial.

That tiny black spot was on mine too when I had them service the exact same watch (16570 Polar) but I flipped that watch a while ago. I'd take it back it I were you. Good luck.

My feelings as well.
I hope this gets sorted out for you, but the crown guard in that state is unacceptable!

Good luck buddy!

I can igonre the spots but not the crown guard issue. They probably dropped it, I can't see how on earth to get it in that shape otherwise.

Sorry about it. Go back and be firm with them.

When did u see all these? At home or when you picked it up?
